Special Relationship Episode Summary:
Who is to say what makes a relationship special? This episode is chock full of relationships that unfold to complicate this well paced mystery. The story begins with the murder of a prominent political figure and the subsequent trial and acquital of a burglar who claims to have just found the body. Boyd needs the help of Detective Inspector Jess Worrall, a friend who worked on the original investigation. Of course, the last time Boyd took over a case from a DI who was also a friend, it ended disastrously. Augmenting the odds for failure, the Home Office has sent a watchdog to investigate the team.
