Here’s the deal. With one exception, I don’t want to know any more about you individually then you choose to share voluntarily. The exception, of course, is if you create problems for me or the site. If you fall into that category then I will respond proportionally to the degree of annoyance you pose. As such, the whats and hows will vary. The best course of action is not to be a pest.

There are several pages of the site that have a hit counter attached. It collects the usual information you would expect from a hit counter and none of it will reveal who you are or what pages you viewed while on the site. As a practical matter,, because of the way the forum is set up, hits are distorted so I use the counter mostly to tell when the site has gone down. There’s another hit counter that the host company has but that one is even less useful since it seems to count hits as each image on page that loads; keep in mind this means even the pretty folder separators on every forum page.

Spammers, trolls and belligerent nutcases be warned I can always find new ways to track you.

Normal people (the vast majority of our visitors fall in this category): Use common sense in deciding what to post about yourself. Comments on the main page may be read by anyone. The forum is membership only and I try to keep a handle on members so that is a fairly safe environment to say whatever. Forum members are required to use a valid email address when they register and to keep it up to date while they are a member. Email addresses are never shared, traded or sold to third parties. Furthermore, we take reasonable precautions to protect email addresses from being harvested or otherwise gathered by third parties.

If you have questions about this privacy policy, please contact the site administrator at any time.

This policy may be changed from tme to time without advance notice.
