Trevor Eve is known to fans of the popular British television series, Waking the Dead, as Detective Superintendent Peter Boyd. Boyd (almost no one refers to or addresses him as Peter) is the head of the Cold Case Squad of the Metropolitan Police Department. Boyd is an intense individual. He approaches his job with a ferocious tenacity that impresses his team as often as it angers them. Boyd believes that no one should be above the truth and he will take down any one standing between him and the truth, even if it means tangling with high ranking government officials. Of course, the one exception is when it is Boyd himself who is blocking the truth from being discovered. Then all bets are off and the real fun begins. Trying to uncover the whats and whys of Peter Boyd is a full time activity which all Waking the Dead viewers take on with pleasure.
